There are two college entrance assessments: the American College Test (ACT) and the College Entrance Examination Board (SAT). To gain admission to a vast majority of colleges, a student should take one of these test at least once during their senior year.
NOTE: The CHS Guidance staff recommends that students take one of these exams during the second term of the junior year and use the senior year to improve their score.
ACT and SAT packets are available in the guidance office.
The PSAT/NMSQT was administered to all 10th and 11th grade students on October 13th, 2010. Results will be distributed to the students in December. The guidance counselors will use this information during spring registration to help students make the best possible academic choices.
